Mike Weatherley, the Conservative Member of Parliament for Hove and Portslade, has congratulated local Sixth Form College BHASVIC on its top Ofsted results, which have just been announced by inspectors as ‘Outstanding’.
In its recent Ofsted inspection, BHASVIC achieved the grade of ‘Outstanding’ for the four main findings – Overall effectiveness; Outcomes for learners; The quality of teaching, learning and assessment; and the effectiveness of leadership and management. So far in the current round of inspections, BHASVIC’s exceptional results are the best in the country. In the last round, Ofsted inspected 203 colleges and awarded an overall grade of ‘Outstanding’ to only 13. To read the full report, click here.

I have absolutely no doubt that the outstanding inspection grade was achieved through anything less than the hard work and dedication of the staff and students at the college. I wish to pass on my sincere congratulations for this literally outstanding report and Principal Chris Thompson deserves special recognition for his strong leadership.”
